November 18, 1998
Approximately 60 people attended the November 18 community meeting
at Northwest Middle School. The introduction to the process was
held in the cafeteria/auditorium. Two break-out groups were held.
Planning Commission staff members recorded over 50 specific suggestions.
These include:
- The rural water lines should have hydrants added as growth expands;
- Senior Day Care facilities are a critical need;
- Discourage or prohibit growth and development in flood plains
and preserve green space;
- Preserve trees along major thoroughfares; and
- Would like to see zero growth until more sheriff patrols are available.
